Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumption, Real Estate and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 1.60%.

The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:BRAV3), which rose 7.44% or 1.34 points to trade at 19.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF:RAIZ4) added 7.00% or 0.17 points to end at 2.60 and Cosan SA Industria e Comercio (BVMF:CSAN3) was up 6.10% or 0.64 points to 11.13 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3), which fell 0.65% or 0.04 points to trade at 6.10 at the close. Totvs SA (BVMF:TOTS3) declined 0.33% or 0.10 points to end at 29.82 and Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (BVMF:SUZB3) was down 0.15% or 0.09 points to 60.70.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 704 to 271 and 53 ended unchanged.

The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 14.13% to 30.64.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.36% or 36.25 to $2,711.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.60% or 1.12 to hit $71.22 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract rose 2.44% or 7.22 to trade at $302.92 .

USD/BRL was down 0.23% to 5.80, while EUR/BRL fell 0.78% to 6.04.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 107.46.
